Running YETI on YUI tests

Post Posted: Wed Feb 27, 2013 12:20 am
Trying to get started with YETI, and just wanted to try to run some of the tests that ship with YUI to understand more. Are those tests supposed to work with YETI? Can't seem to get it working, so I'm probably doing something wrong (obviously).

This is what I did:
- Installed NodeJS
- Installed YETI using npm
- Openened a console and pointed it at the location of YUI
- Typed yeti yui\tests\dom\tests\unit\dom-xy.html
- Opened a browser at http://localhost:9000
- Hit Enter in the console

I see yeti loading the html file I specified, but then it times out trying to run the tests. No errors in the browser console either, so not much to go by really. What am I doing wrong?

Here is the console output:

C:\Work\yui_3.8.0>yeti yui\tests\dom\tests\unit\dom-xy.html
Agent connected: Chrome (25.0.1364.97) / Windows 7 from 127.0.0.1
√ Testing started on Chrome (25.0.1364.97) / Windows 7
? Error: Agent timed out running test: /agent/1361952591733492958/batch/1361952692585622172/test/yui\tests\dom\tests\unit\dom-xy.html
User-Agent: Chrome (25.0.1364.97) / Windows 7
√ Agent completed: Chrome (25.0.1364.97) / Windows 7
√ 0 tests passed! (46 seconds)

This is what happens in the console before it times out:

C:\Work\yui_3.8.0>yeti yui\tests\dom\tests\unit\dom-xy.html
Agent connected: Chrome (25.0.1364.97) / Windows 7 from 127.0.0.1
√ Testing started on Chrome (25.0.1364.97) / Windows 7
► Testing... / 0% complete (0/1) 0.00 beats/sec

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

There can be errors in your tests.
Do one thing, try to open your <testfile>.html in browser and see logs .

There must be some warning or errors thats why yeti hangs while running the test.
