How to get the nav div to always at least fill the screen

How does one get the nav column to always fill the whole screen top to bottom so the footer is always at least at the bottom of the screen. min-height with percentages does not work. This is for pages with little content.

I don't want to anchor the footer using fixed layout or use explicit heights. Screen sizes, resolutions and different browsers see to it that explicit heights differ when these differ.

Sounds like a use for Layout Manager:

It's not a pure CSS solution, but it works.

Thanks for that, Dav. The next bit on the roadmap for the YUI Grids people is most likely to make this column length thing easier. It should not be necessary to use javascript to set column lengths. There are a few other posts on column lengths.
