Datatable needed

Hi,

A couple of months ago I was looking for a datatable with following functionality

row indicator (dark blue if row is selected multiple rows can be selected as well)
context menu (showing insert, goto, print, delete, add and search for example)
    Sorting columns (standard covered)
    Row drag and drop

Interacting grids on one html page for example send one or more rows to another datatable.

Since I've not been started my question still holds (the 3 version is more mature maybe also)

My question must I use 2.9 version with a lot of examples? Or must I start with 3.5/6 version with less clear examples?

John

Hi John,

Definitely use YUI3.
Datatable may be still in beta, there is already very much functionality there. Especially In 3.6.0, which will be released end of July. In YUI3 you can combine other modules like drag and drop with targets or sortable to extend it at your wishes. Even though there are not that much examples (are there really not?): the API is very complete.

I would recommend to develop all your projects in YUI3 anyway. It's structure is completely different and will suit you in the end.

Kind regards,
Marco.
