Parsing dates/numbers in international format

Hi

I have an application which is internationalised but I have two fields where the user can input data. One is a numeric input field with a decimal separator and one is a date field.

How, in YUI3, can I parse these fields?

The DataType.Date allows me to format the date in the correct locale, but the parse only allows me to pass in a date and does not take any locale into account.

Likewise the DataType.Number parse does not allow me to take the locale into account so a language where the decimal separator is a comma (rather than a period) is not correctly processed.

Cheers

Hi Keith,

This functionality is currently not supported, but we are actively working on it. It will most likely be in YUI 3.7, and should show up for community testing in early PRs.

Is there any further news on the parse functionality, 7.2 is out and looking at the API Docs there is no change. Is this going to be in a future release?
