Touch events using 2.x components from 3.x

I was using imagecropper in 2.x and it worked great but I'm not sure it supported touch events or could be made to. I see 3.x has touch support. I've been able to call the imagecropper 2.x component from 3.x but I'm wondering if it's possible to now add support for touch events or am I stuck with what the 2.x component could do?

Is there a way to add touch support like this?

Thanks!

2.x does not support touch events and you can't really mix the two event systems.

You can try using this Gallery module:

Yes, use that one! I tested it on iOS and it works really well. Just bug me on Twitter if it doesn't work :P

I'm considering writing a new version that instead of dragging a resizable rectangle, it keeps a fixed rectangle like a mask and allows you to drag the image inside it. I think that works better on smaller screens and looks hipper. It could maybe use the mouse wheel or pinch to zoom. If anyone's interested, again just let me know.
