Hi,
I would really love to use some of the Alloy modules. The only thing that keeps me from doing so is that I don't understand the CSS part. You already stated that there will be more documentation soon. Just wanted to let you know that I am _really_ waiting for that. regards Eike |

Hi Eike,
The Gallery has some limitations, for instance, it's not supporting rollup yet and then our themes are being affected by this limitation. We are preparing the 1.0.0 release to the next week, let us know if you have some question will be a pleasure to help you. |

OK,
thanks for the reply. I will wait for 1.0 and come up with any questions - if there are any. |

Hi Eike,
Are there any parts about it in general that you would prefer to be covered in the documentation, or any parts of it you find particularly confusing? I'll try to see if we can make sure to address the issues you bring up either here or in the documentation in general. Thanks, |

Hi Nate,
what I am missing is at least a little bit of documentation on how to create my own styles "the right way". It looks like that the aui widgets depend on specific aui-style-modules which are defined in all your examples. I could easily overwrite the fullpath of those modules to include my css-files but is that the was it's meant to be? I'm just starting using YUI so excuse me if this documentation exists allready. |

Hi again,
I think I managed to get all the information I need. But now I have a problem. I can't use a CDN so I've set up my own combo-service. Now I am trying to use the aui-autocomplete module which is "skinnable". The loader is trying to pull in the css-file but is looking at the wrong place. Instead of using the root property defined for the group "gallery" it is using the global root. Does anybody know how to change this behavior? Here is my config: YUIConfig.jsClick here to see the revision history on this Gist. |

To answer part of my own question:
Looks like this is a problem: http://yuilibrary.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=520#p520 and I'm not the only one who needs a fix: http://yuilibrary.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=14550#p14550 @Nate and Eduardo: Are you going to change you skinnable modules to require an extra css-module as Adam proposes? Best regards Eike |

Just a quick note:
The "styling-bug" was fixed in the yui-trunk and will be part of the upcoming 3.2.0 release. |
