drag and drop slow in IE and safari

Hi. When I check out the examples for DD (YUI 3 version) on the YUI site, the "Drag & Drop: List reorder w/Bubbling" example is slow in IE and Safari, but not FF. Here's what I'm testing against:

FF 3.6.12
Safari 5.0.2
IE 8.0.6001

Why is that? If it's something inherent with the API itself, then is there something that we can do programmatically to speed things up without modifying the API? Thanks

If you have a test case that shows the slowness you are experiencing please file a bug for it.. I do not see the performance issues you are reporting.

I'm noticing the same behavior. We would like to upgrade our site from YUI 2.9 to 3.3, but the drag & drop performance is unacceptable in IE7 & IE8. It works great in Chrome and Firefox, but very slow in IE. With version 2.9, IE was still the slowest, but it was good enough for production. 3.3 is not.

We have tested using the YUI 3.3 seed file and alternatively used the configurator to get the script files manually. We thought the suspect was the yui-later.js file, but that was inconclusive.

Any ideas?

I think my above comment says it all. If you have a repro case, please file it. It's very difficult to attempt to fix something without knowing the issue.
